Winter Stableford Rules

  1. The competition will normally start on the first Tuesday in November and end on the last Tuesday in February. The competition will be run in parallel with a weekly Roll Up Stableford. Players do not have to participate in both competitions.
  2. On average, depending on the year played, there will be 14 weeks of play. Each week the Winner will be allocated 12 points, second place 11 points and so on down to tenth place receiving 3 points. All other participants receiving 1 point provided 18 holes are played.
  3. Full Active handicaps will apply when playing on the normal greens, if winter greens are in use when the first group tees off, ¾ of your playing handicap will apply.
  4. Inactive Handicaps can take part but there scores will only count when they achieve active status.
  5. The best 10 cards of each player, or equal to the maximum possible days of play if less than ten, will determine the overall placings and prize winners. Where possible a table of results will be displayed each week.
  6. In the event of a tie the total Stableford points of the best ten cards of each tied player will be compared to determine the winner and placings. If further positions need to be determined count back of the last six cards will be used.
  7. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players, with the winner being awarded the Woolfox Golf Club – Senior Section Winter Cup.
