Weekending 30th June

Tuesday 25th June

Thanks to Keith Wright for today’s report.

21 golfers turned out on a perfect day – little wind, blue skies, greens magnificent.  The format for the day was “Yellow Peril”. The only complaint was the white clover on the semi-rough – finding a white ball was hard!!!

Winning team was……..

Dougie Morton, Keith Wright and Ian Dobson with 88 points.

 Runners Up were……

Phil Cuttle, Tom Byrne and Bill Collins with 86 points.

2’s Competition

Phil Cuttle and Ian Dobson shared the 2’s pot                       both scored on the 14th.

Good to see Andy Parrott back. The old threesome with John Adkins and Charlie Laverty was seen out. Unfortunately, Andy will need a few rounds before he plays to his handicap.

Thursday 27th June.

Where did all the Seniors go, only 13 members turned out for today’s roll up, format was 3 on the par 5’s, 2 0n the par four’s and one on the par threes.  Pete King turned up  – but everyone had left – we do not allow two ghosts.

In the lead with 81 points were:                                                            Keith Wright, Dave Nelson and Melvin Baker,                          all on excessive handicaps!!!

Next came John Adkins and Graham Purslow and the ghost          with 76 points.
