Weekending 12th May

Tuesday 7th May

Here we have the draw for this month’s Medal.

*******

Thanks to Keith Wright for today’s report.

A field of 26 turned out for Mays Monthly Medal and Peter Harles’ Memorial Trophy, it also had points available in the Order of Merit.
The weather was overcast with a little wind, but NO rain.
Scoring was tight at the top of both divisions but very well done to the overall leaders Peter King and Ian Ingram who both returned a Nett 68, Pete had the better back 9, in doing so claimed the 10 points in the Order of Merit table and also the Peter Harle Memorial trophy.

2’s Competition
For the third week running we had a total of 6 twos scored.
The greens must have been running very true to the hole.

Don Lambert on the 1st, Nick Lewis and Ian Dobson on the 3rd.
Ian Ingram on the 14th, Steve Moss and Bill Murray on the 16th.

Very slim pickings today.

Thursday 9th May

A pleasant warm, sunny day with a gentle breeze. Sadly just 17 members turned out for the 2 from 3 roll up competition.
Unfortunately, the golf on show today was not up the standard of the weather.
The Winning Team was, John Adkins, Charlie Laverty                      and Graham Purslow with 82 points.

They just pipped the trio of ….                                                                Peter King. Andrew Counsell and Ian Dobson by just 1 point.

The Best Front 9 went to John Adkins with 20 points,                   he was also best overall with 39 points.
The Best Back 9 went to Melvin Baker with 22 points            beating Pete King on count back.

2’s Competition

No 2’s recorded today so the Captains Charity wins.
